Congratulations all, especially Liz Bourke, Kameron Hurley and Anne Leckie–three of my favorites this last year.
“Ack-Ack” -> “Ack-Ack Macaque” I presume. It’s a strong shortlist: I think that the Leckie, McAuley and Priest are all in with a chance, the Powell is entertaining but minor and I haven’t read the Hurley. Not sure I can comment on the rest at the moment.
I AM ON AN AWARD LIST OH GOD OH GOD WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Imposter syndrome. It’s a thing.
WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU, LIZ!!! Congratulations once again–you certainly deserve it :)
Thank you!
(In a way, Bridget, you’re responsible for this, you know. :D )
Well, you do all the hard work, and you do it well–I’m just happy to see you getting the recognition you deserve! (I promise to stop gushing now–we’re all just so delighted, I can’t help it :)
Thanks. It’s an incredible honour to be on that list. (If I’m dreaming, don’t nobody wake me up. :) )
