Fans who made it into Hall H this afternoon were treated to exclusive footage from the upcoming Netflix adaptation of The Witcher.
Aside from introducing the cast, the footage showed scenes such as the banquet from The Last Wish novel, fight scenes, Yennefer on a beach, and Bathtub Geralt. No word as to whether Roach stands on roofs yet.

After bringing the main cast out — Henry Cavil as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allen as Ciri — the panelists talked about the behind-the-scene process — such as Cavil’s determination to be cast as Geralt, and his months-long sword training process, and Allen’s preparation for her first big role.
Writer Lauren Hissrich also explained that The Witcher will be adapted from the books rather than the games.
Lauren Hissrich says they are honoring the source material of the books and fleshing out more of the flashbacks of the books. The show is “in addition” to the books. @Comic_Con for @witchernetflix #SDCC2019 #SDCC pic.twitter.com/OzS71M9nCX

Both Allen and Chalotra talked about their characters as well, and the opportunity to explore each women’s backstory, followed by more clips from the show focused on those characters:

Did they mention a release date?
@1 Not yet, but based on Netflix’s normal release schedule I suspect this will be aiming for around November.
