At long last, Good Omens 2 has a premiere date! It’s been almost two years since Amazon announced that the adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel would get a sequel series—two years filled with hints and extras and not-totally-clear casting announcements.
But this announcement is quite clear: Good Omens 2 arrives July 28th on Prime.
And on the 10th of May, we were given a date for season 2, and it is ineffably good. Good Omens returns July 28th on Prime Video. #GoodOmens #Aziraphale #Crowley pic.twitter.com/Y2oIaS6W0s

Along with the tweet and image above, the date was announced in a peculiar parody video from The Hillywood Show.
The synopsis gives little away:
Season Two of Good Omens explores storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since The Beginning, and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.
The perfectly cast Michael Sheen and David Tennant star as the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley; returning cast who are playing the same roles as they did in the first season include John Hamm (archangel Gabriel), Doon Mackichan (archangel Michael), and Gloria Obianyo (archangel Uriel). Miranda Richardson, Maggie Service, and Nina Sosanya also return, but in new roles; new faces include Liz Carr, Quelin Sepulveda, Shelley Conn, Ty Tennant, Peter Davison, and many more.
Neil Gaiman and Douglas Mackinnon are co-showrunners for the series; Mackinnon also directs all six episodes of the new season.
Get your halo or your devil horns—or your devil halo?—ready for Good Omens 2’s premiere July 28th on Prime Video.
