For this forthcoming Labor Day weekend—and only this weekend—Tor Books is making the complete Wheel of Time series available in ebook for only $44.99!
The Wheel of Time Companion is only two months away from release and is, in the words of Wheel of Time series editor, “an alphabetized adjunct that will allow the reader to check on characters, locations, herbs, kinship structures and many other things that appear in the series.” It’s an ideal volume to electronically pore through for specific terms, and interested readers would naturally want to pair it with the ebook version of the series itself in order to be able to full cross-reference the available information.
Aside from that, The Complete Wheel of Time ebook is also a great way to introduce a friend to the completed series! The Complete Wheel of Time includes all fourteen volumes of the main series, as well as the prequel novel New Spring.
Unfortunately, this offer is only good in the United States, as Tor Books does not hold the rights to publish the series in other countries.
The offer begins on Saturday, September 5th and ends on Monday, September 7th. The availability of the $44.99 sale price for The Complete Wheel of Time ebook bundle is retailer-specific, so you may find that certain retailers are offering the sale price before others, depending on their own internal systems. In essence, if you don’t see the sale price at first, keep checking.
The sale bundle is available through:
Very nice. That’s a great bargain for 13 books.
Can we please get a gigantic tome, complete with it’s own pedestal, of all WoT books in one volume? Pretty pretty please?
If it were in a single volume, It would look like the Karaethon Cycle as it appeared in Tear in Rand’s quarters, and we would each need our own Gai’shain to aid in reading it.
How tall are all 15 hardcovers when you stack them up? (I’d zip down to the Tor offices and check but I don’t have a ruler handy!)
I was thinking something where the pages were like 12 x20 or something (18 x 36…or bigger??), like a coffee table book sized giant tome. Something you would literally need to have on a pedestal to read. In my idealized fantasy world, it would be illuminated like a manuscript from the Middle Ages, and I would place it in its own little room with a comfortable reading chair and light
How about a scroll version, with fixed scrolls on either side, and a hand crank? couple gears and a hamster, you can let it scroll automatically while you read….
Is this just a bundle price for the 14 separate ebooks, each with their own cover, table of contents, etc., or is it one mammoth ebook containing all 14 WoT novels? I looked at the description on Amazon for the Kindle edition, but I can’t tell whether its 14 volumes or one omnibus volume.
I would be most appreciative if someone from Tor could comment BEFORE this weekend so that I (and I assume others) can make an informed buying decision. This is not a trivial concern to me, because the purchase of individual volumes lets one get the Audible audiobooks at a reduced price.
Thanks.
By a rough calculation (IANA Book binder) the full series could be printed on around 1,100 pages if the printable area was 18″ by 18″. If the pages were 18″ by 36″, it’d be about 550 pages. This assumes print density comparable to paperback novels. With hardcover text and 18 by 36″ pages. the series would be about 734 pages.
Unless I’m doing the book binding math all wrong. In which case, being a publisher website, someone will hopeful provide the right answer.
@7 Just looked at kindle page and read some of the reviews and someone commented that all the books are combined into one gigantic ebook . Hope that helps to answer your question.
Also it includes the prequel novel A New Spring .
I’ve never understood why the offers are never available outside the US because “Tor Books does not hold the rights to publish the series in other countries” when their Wheel of Time books are for sale in Singapore. Surely Tor should be able to have this offer for in countries like Singapore where their books are for sale?

Tell me about it… I used to be so frustrated about this when I first got an ereader. I’ve since resigned myself to the idea that it’s not really my decision whether I get to buy an ebook or not, even if I want to and can afford it. Ah well… off to give my money to someone who wants it.
The Companion and the whole series? Nice!
Wait, is the Assault on Shayol Ghul included? haha
A serious question- is there a PC friendly format available? I have no Nook nor Kindle, just more books than Samuel T. Cogley.
You can use a program like calibre to view ebooks on a PC.
Monday is the 7th.
@14: Thanks–we’ve corrected the post to reflect the correct date.
*pour through.
@16: No, not “pour”. “Pore through a book” is correct.
This offer doesn’t include the Companion, right? Just the 15 books of the series itself. Seems like some might think the Companion is included due to its mention in the article, and you wouldn’t want to get hopes up.
@17: Sure–just to clarify, the offer includes the 14 Wheel of Time novels plus New Spring, but does not include the Companion (which won’t be published for another couple of months).
Amazon Germany gives the publication date for the Companion as 3 Nov 2015 for hardback and 5 Nov 2015 for paperback. That doesn’t sound right.
It’s the 5th, Amazon still says $111…
I’m having the same issue as Lili, Amazon seemingly hasn’t gotten the memo…
Same issue here, even dragonmount is showing 111$ as well. I can only see it on Itunes for $44, but i cant put that on my Kindle!
Glad I’m not the only one having problems with this deal…
Update: Okay, the deal is on Amazon now!
According to the Amazon Canada site the Wheel of Time Collection is $45.99
Do we know when on Monday it will end? I’m waiting to receive an egift card for B&N to purchase…
Any printed copies?
Is there any chance we’ll see another sale like this anytime soon?
