It turns out that a rare Neil Gaiman was left out amongst various sundry the other day. Had we only been in the area, we would have been happy to fetch the Neil Gaiman and bring him to a good home. We hope this will serve as a cautionary tale to the rest of you: be careful where you leave your Neil Gaiman.

(This photo appeared on Amanda Palmer’s Tumblr. We quite like it.)

Perfect! He’ll go quite nicely with my second-hand Pratchett and my mint Rothfuss.

@2: Funny you should mention that: Mint Rothfuss is the name of my folk metal band.

You should hear us play at the Eolian. Last time we did, there wasn’t a person in the room who was still sitting down! Largely because there were no people in the room. They all left. But still. My point is valid.

There was another one at Paddington Station on Tuesday, wearing a large luggage label printed with the words PLEASE LOOK AFTER THIS WHIMSICAL FANTASY AUTHOR. He was wearing a plaintive expression that seemed to say “Marmalade?”

When there’s people throwing stuff away like a prize winning storyteller, it’s no wonder I can’t even sell my used monitor.
