In this episode of Rocket Talk, Justin is joined by fantasy author Daniel Polansky to discuss his new novel Those Above, as well as his recently announced The Builders, from Tor.com’s novella program. They talk about writing dates, travel, fictional influences, and Thunders, as you do.
Daniel Polansky is the author of four novels, including the Low Town series which began with The Straight Razor Cure. His newest novel, Those Above, is set in a new world and on a much larger stage. Polansky lives in Brooklyn, NY and can likely be found writing at a neighborhood bar.

Really enjoyed this interview
Shame you hardly mentioned his new book – rather a platform to advertise Landon’s editing of Polansky’s new novella. Disappointing, but then what more can one expect from someone who refers to every minor Twitter interaction as part of a ‘wider conversation’ about 50 times every episode. Getting dull now.
@Wrecker
Thanks for the comment. Always tough to decide how much to talk about a book that isn’t out yet. Hopefully the interview gave an idea of the kind of writer Polansky is and the kinds of things he likes to do in his writing.
This podcast needed even more Thundercats discussion. :)
Everything needs more Thundercats discussion, if not actual Thundercats.
